the lady in a hat

How can you know
that I am lonely
when I say 'good night'?
How can we live
when we only
see the outer shell,
when we are far away?
In our galaxies
full of stardust,
illuminated with ourselves
and all the medals on our shelves.
I wish we could only see
this, all this, everything.
This diamond deep below the sea.

moonsetting

This is just one of the small episodes in my life that actually leave great marks.
I have had the pleasure of watching the Moonset only couple of times in my life so far, but it was always magical....each time I was in a different phase of my life, yet realising so many things that could be described in words like vastness, emptiness, loneliness, heaviness, timelessness, hopelessness, cold, shivering, silence, no one, nothing, everything, you, now, nada en todo...and the fragility of it all.
This is just a small story, small piece of it. But the question is:
How can I share this?
How can we share those existential meltdowns, that presence, with someone else?
How can we share anything?
How can I share it all?

all those liquid nights

I guess we all love warm summer nights when you can stay outside and be liquid all night long.
Shooting under such circumstances is a real pleasure. Sometimes the shots are carefully constructed and timed, but mostly it's a matter of intuition, feeling and good luck.
Being in the right place at the right time.

This Place ~ My Place

In February, I was a part of an international visual storytelling workshop with PanAut collective
I spent one week of shooting every night and discussing my project with my mentor, then one week of the workshop with everyone else, which was held at DOX, the centre for contemporary art in Prague.
The result of the workshop is an exhibition, currently still on display at DOX, so you can go see it.
We also had public lectures and an unforgettable time together.
And now, we've just put the results on tumbrl page, so check it out:
